Who is this Monica, you ask?

 

I understand how hard it is to leave your child with someone that you have really don't know anything about. So, I put this site together, so you can get a feel for me and my day care. 

 

I was raised in a home day care. My mother had run one for 5 years before I was even born I pretty much knew no different than that of being around lots of kids all the time. I shared everything I had, always, with everyone. I felt like I grew up with 10 siblings, 10 families. 

They all shaped who I am today and why I do what I do.

 

As the children grew up and moved on, new families would begin and new relationships would form. In my teenage years, almost all the families used me for weekend night babysitting. I loved it! I remember thinking "I'm getting paid to play silly!"

 

I bought my home when I was 18, and got my license to do full-time child care in my home. I am coming up on 25 years pretty soon! How crazy is that? A few years ago my very first baby, came to see me and that was a defining moment. He was 24 years old.  Now I'm that old lady who says "Oh my god! I remember when you were this small!" and then I pinch a cheek and talk about how I used to wipe his butt when he was younger! It was great.
